Veterans Day

I recently read an article that had a lot of facts about Veterans Day. One fact is that Veterans day was originally named Armistice Day after World War I. The named changed to Veterans Day after World War II. There was also a bill that was signed to allow Veterans day to have a three day weekend, but Ford changed the decision and had Veterans Day stay on November 11.

I found all of these facts interesting because I didn't think the government had so much power over a holiday.
