Our first week in Portland has been uneventful. We have found a great Restaurant and Bar nearby, Bumpers. We went there the night we got in for a couple of beers and ribs. The next night we took Dana and Hansel there because we wanted to take them out for a nice dinner before the baby came. As it turns out, we could have waited. Dana is now one week over due with no change. I have a head cold, so I have had to stay away for the last couple of days. I am just about over the cold. Hopefully it will be gone by the time the baby arrives.

Lewis and Clark Park is close to here. It is a very large park that is an off leash park for dogs. It has miles and miles of trails. It is a beautiful area with a great view of Mt. Hood. Ed took Red over there again today. it has been very cold and windy, not helping my head cold. I will be very disappointed if we came all of this way and I can't see the baby, because I have a cold. But, the important part is that Ed will be here. Hansel's family is here from Alaska. It is great to see them. We haven't seen them since we were in Alaska. Even their nephew Grayson, who is 5 years old is here. He is so smart and fun to be around. He loves to walk Red.

Well we are patiently waiting. One thing for sure, we will never live in the Pacific Northwest. This weather sucks! This is a different kind of cold. It is wet and damp. I can never seem to get warm. Some day the baby will come, hopefully sooner, rather than later. Eventually, all babies have to be born, and we can't wait for this one.
