Our time in Nuuk is almost over so thought it was time to add some more pictures of our adventure to the Blog.

Since I last wrote we have seen more icebergs, did an 8km hike, went on another boat trip to Kobbefjord, had an attempt at trout fishing and have eaten reindeer. We have enjoyed days of sunshine and blue skies, endured long days inside when it was too wet and windy to step foot out the door, and have spent more time getting ready to play out in the cold, than was actually spent outside. The kids were really hoping for snow, however that does not occur until mid autumn (October).

I competed in the 10km run in the Nuuk Marathon, temperatures were a little chilly, the course was extremely hilly but I managed to make it in less than an hour, my " Go Mummy" cheersquad were there to cheer me on. Actually the road network is so limited in Nuuk, in order to get the 42km required for the the Marathon, the route starts in the centre of town , out to the new area and back - twice.

Brad has completed his field work and finished up in the lab. He was very lucky to have two willing field assistants to help him with his work. It was a highlight for them to go out with their dad. On one of Jakes trips he was lucky enough to spot a seal and Harrison caught a glimpse of a Minke Whale

We visited the "Braettet" the open meat and fish market. This is where local fisherman and hunters sell their catch of the day. The day we visited there was fish, reindeer, and seal for sale.

We leave here on Monday heading to Ilulissat for a few days to be amazed by some enormous icebergs, then off to Bonnie Scotland.

Looks like great fun
Dear Eyre family, It looks like great fun in Greenland. I love your photos. It must take you ages to get dressed each day. I've told some of your friends to look at your blog and send a comment. Everybody is missing you. Talk to you when you get to Scotland!
