Goodness, it’s been a long time since I made a post about my travels. Unfortunately, in the past few years, I had to make some major changes to my life. So I am not able to travel as much as I want. Well, I have taken a few trips back to Korea and even did a stint in Thailand and Cambodia but neglected to write about it. The first reason is that I got married a couple of years ago and am now a Mom! Anyway, enough about me and lets talk about where I am now. So I am currently in Augusta, GA this week for the Masters tournament. My job is sending me there to give our readers a Masters sports betting update. It’s my first assignment out of the office that I have ... read more

Hi Everyone, Finished our second Sea Day. The ocean has been pretty calm. After reading for a bit on my balcony, I went up to the deck just above the pool and found a spot to sit and read. Weather was perfect for me. Most people were wearing sweaters/sweatshirts and long pants. I had shorts and sleeveless top on and it felt great. Did not get a lot of reading done. A couple sat down at my table as I was eating my (very good) pizza for lunch and had their lunch with me. Very nice and chatty couple from Oregon. As soon as they left, a couple of the solo traveling gals came by that I had met so they sat with me and then another gal joined us. We went to the talk on ... read more

I'm pretty sure I have a Travel Blog post with the exact same titlefrom 2017. In fact, when I'm done writing this blog post, I should compare the two. I suspect they'll be very similar! Just like in 2017, we hopped in our car to chase totality. We're staying in Austin, Texas. Our original plan was to watch the eclipse from the hotel to avoid having to deal with traffic afterwards. It was a great plan except for the clouds. Today, Austin is forecasted to have almost 90% cloud cover. I scoured the weather reports for nearby towns. Things are worse to the south and southwest of us. Cloud-wise, it's about the same directly west. North is slightly better. But northwest... northwest is where it's at! We decided our best bet was to head to a ... read more

In spite of the fact that it was down-pouring, we got within the van and drove to Granddad Trout Cultivate in Standard Elk, NC. We had done a few inquire about, and it appeared like a great angling spot for us. As it were our most seasoned child had been angling some time recently; my spouse doesn't like angling; and it had been a long time since I had gone angling with my father. We had no gear, but the Trout Cultivate provided it all. With ponchos on, we strolled to the entrance. They given us a bucket, net, that metal thing to evacuate the snare (can you tell I do not angle?), a can of corn and tub of worms. The shafts in all sizes were lined up prepared to go along a seat. We ... read more

This morning, Colleen drove us to the airport so we could pick up our rental car. Rental cars were getting crazy expensive in Texas due to the eclipse. We found a good deal for picking up today and dropping off Tuesday morning. If we picked up a car yesterday when we landed, it would have been twice as expensive! So, we were really grateful to my mother-in-law for driving us. After we got the car, we decided to head to Brushy Creek Lake Park to check out some wildflowers. Colleen grew up in Texas and new of some beautiful areas in Hill Country, but after a long day of travel yesterday, we wanted something close by. Brushy Creek Lake Park also has walking paths, so we wouldn't have to go stomping through the fields and possibly ... read more

Hi Everyone, My trans-Atlantic cruise was planned many months ago but I unexpectedly found myself having to make the trip solo. It is 14 days from Ft Lauderdale to cross the ocean to Rotterdam, The Netherlands. There are stops, in order: Bermuda, Ireland, Guernsey, England and France. From Rotterdam, I will take a train to Amsterdam and stay there for 3 nights. I fly home from Amsterdam, Wednesday, April 24th. I'm very excited! Picked up a shiny brand new Malibu on Saturday afternoon from Avis in Leesburg. Left at 5AM this morning (Sunday) and drove to Ft. Lauderdale. It was a great car to drive, peppy and responsive. I haven't driven a new car in over 100,000 miles. :-) Avis immediately got me to Holland America's Nieuw Statendam ship. Had a very pleasant wait in the ... read more

Custom clear stickers have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their versatility and aesthetic appeal. However, one crucial aspect of creating high-quality clear stickers often goes overlooked: the necessity of a white underpin. In this article, we will delve into the reasons why a white underpin is essential for clear stickers, exploring its role in ensuring clarity, vibrancy, durability, and versatility. Enhancing Visibility The custom clear stickers are designed to be transparent, allowing them to seamlessly blend with any surface they're applied to. However, without a white underpin, the clarity of these stickers can be compromised. What a day! With so much travel, it's hard to believe this is one single day. It feels like two! Over a year ago, we began planning our trip to Texas for the total solar eclipse. We went eclipse chasing for the 2017 eclipse and loved the experience. However, there was one thing I learned from it: traffic is just terrible after the eclipse! So, we wanted to stay within the path of totality and hopefully see the eclipse from our hotel without having to travel on the day of. So, we booked our hotel in northwest Austin (that area was predicted to get 2 minutes and 58 seconds of totality). This location was picked because it was great for the eclipse. However, it made it longer to go visit family. Then came some discouraging eclipse ... read more
