Don't waste your time traveling here
....All good things must come to an end....and it did today! Since our back end has not arrived yet, I found a brochure that would take us to the "Unclaimed Baggage Center" store as seen on T.V. It gets all the unclaimed, lost items from the airports, etc. It is located in Scottsboro, Alabama about 150 miles from Red Bay (nothing is close by). It is a big place with a lot of stuff but not any good deals that I would call "good deals". I bought a T-shirt advertising the place and one from San Diego. I was going to surprise you and say we had made it to California.....no joking, now. As we were heading back towards Huntsville (big NASA research center located here), I heard a "pop" and said to Cory "wow...was that a flat tire?" He said "no" and then, we heard a big "bang!" He pulled over and sure enough, we had a flat tire! So, poor Cory, had to change it...thank heavens he knows how...I would just stand there and cry. Lulu wanted to assist him but he refused her offer. A nice man stopped and told us where the closest tire place was so

that's where we are now as I write this to you....a small, smelly tire place in GUNTERSVILLE, AL. How is that for a coincidence....almost like our name...we were meant to come here. Wrong... It's a no go....they couldn't fix the old tire and don't have a new one that fits so off we go to Huntsville (40 miles away). Now we are at Wal-Mart and they can replace our tire....another coincidence: fellow taking care of us is named Correy...what do you think?

Today wasn't a complete disaster. On the way, we stopped at the Joseph Wheeler State Park. He was a Confederate General & politician. We drove about 4 miles in and came to a beautiful, huge lodge and marina. Only a couple people there...very secluded. If you want privacy and quietness, this is the place to come. We're out of here...we like crowds!

"Red Sky at Night: Sailors Delight......" that's what we have as we drive home. The sun looks like a giant tomato in the sky. Isaac isn't visiting us YET! Hope your days are sunny and flat tire free!

Thats funny. Jeff & I went to Huntsville one year. We got lost trying to find something and ended up by the Nasa Center. Jeff went to turn around realizing thats not where we wanted to be and the guard motioned no & we had to go by the gate. The guards had guns and they searched our car & ran our plates and drivers licenses. That taught us watch where u get lost. I glad u r havung fun!!

They had a big exhibit here of Mammoths & Polar Bears that I had hoped we could see but with the flat tire...we just wanted to get back to RV...made it @ 9:00 PM. What a day!
