What is something you accomplished this year that you are proud of?One thing that I am most proud of right now is the fact that I will be graduating from high school in a week. I feel proud about this because there were many times this year where I felt like giving up and not trying as hard as I could. I also believe that I am proud of this because I will be the first in my immediate family to graduate high school and go to college. One thing that I am proud of accomplishing in world history was meeting the requirements for the passport stamps because there were many times where I felt like I was not going to reach them. What was the nicest thing someone in our class did for you this year?Although it does not relate to world history I believe that all my friends were really nice and helpful when I was going through some hard times choosing a college. This past month has been very hard for me because the college that I dreamed about going to and had everything set for was no longer an option for me because I had nearly $5,000 taken away from my financial aid. When I heard about this I had a very difficult time accepting it but luckily my friends were their to help me and support me. After a week or so of talking with friends and thinking about my situation I realized that it was not the end of the world and that I would be successful anywhere I went because of the support of my friends. What was the most challenging part of this year for you?I believe that the most challenging part of this year both in world history and in general was time management and balancing many things at once. I believe that time management was hard because there were many times when college or scholarship applications were due the same day as a big school project so I had to find time in order to complete both. Balancing both schoolwork and college stuff was hard this year because both things were crucial to my future success so I couldn't skip one thing and go to the next.If you could change one thing that happened this year, what would it be?If I could change one thing from this past year I would change my attitude toward school and actually complete things when I planned to have them done. I believe that if I would have had a positive attitude toward school and avoided senioritis I would have done way better in school than I did. Not procrastinating and having assignments done when I planned to have them done would have also helped me a lot this year. I believe that following my set schedule would have avoided me a lot of stress and I would have probably gotten better grades on different class assignments. What are the three most important things you learned this year? One important thing that I learned this year was to be an open minded person and explore new things that I have not tried or learned about before. I believe that I was able to learn this through my world dance and world history class because both of those classes exposed to different cultures that I had little background knowledge on. Another thing that I learned this year was how to properly invest my money and how to ensure that I am getting the most out of it in personal finance. Another thing that I learned this year was how to make the appropriate college choices and decisions during college seminar.I believe that if I would have not had this information I would have mad a bad decision with many of my college stuff and I also would not have been able to help some of my friends from other schools. In what area do you feel you made your biggest improvements?I believe that I was able to grow a lot with my English skills this year compared to any other year. I know that I was able to improve a lot in this area because I went from earning Bs on my papers last year to earning perfect scores on each of my papers that I turned in. I believe that I was able to grow because I was engaged in the class a lot this year compared to past years. I was also able to grow a lot because I made sure to visit office hours and ask a lot of questions while I was writing my paper. What are six adjectives that best describe this school year?FunExcitingInformativeStressfulInterestingDifficultKnowing what you know now, if you could write a letter to yourself that would travel back in time so that you would receive it at the start of the school year, what advice would you give your younger self?I would personally tell myself to try my hardest no matter what because at the end it will help me out. I would also tell myself to manage my time well and set up schedules so that I do not forget anything. Another thing that I would tell myself is to have patience and not stress over things that are not important. I believe that if I would have known some of this information when I entered senior year I would have made sure to stay positive throughout the whole year and try my best. Another thing that I would tell my self is that senior year is full of a lot of memories and fun times but also filled with hard decisions and difficult times. Overall I believe that I wouldn't change anything about my senior year because I believe that it was one of the best from my four years in high school.
