Left Snow Canyon on Sunday Dec 17 & headed to Las Vegas. Arrived at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder RV Park in time to see the Denver Broncos football game. After the Broncos won we went to the casino & had dinner at the Wild West Buffet. It was not the best buffet we have been to in Las Vegas but it was good.
Monday morning we took the Sightseer to Findlay RV just across from AZ Charlie to have a recall worked on & to check out the Furnace. When they were done we drove to The Olive Garden for an early dinner. Then back to AZ Charlie for the night.
Tuesday we left AZ Charlie & stopped to see Eargon at the Regal Boulder Station 11 Theatre. WOW it has been a long time since we went to see a movie in a big city. It cost the 2 of us just under $30 for 2 tickets & a large popcorn & 3 Medium Cokes. Eargon was good if you do not try to compare it to the book to much. After the Movie we headed toward Death Valley. We made it to Amargosa Valley Rest Area on HWY 95 where
we spent the night.
Wednesday we stopped in the town of Beatty where we gassed up & stopped at the Death Valley NP Beatty Information Center where we picked up Death Valley info & got our Park Entrance Permit by showing our Golden Access Passport.
We stopped at Bonnie Claire Playa to take a pic of it snow covered. When I worked at Scotty's Castle we went out to there New Years Eve to party & shoot off fireworks. We stopped at Scotty's Castle to walk around & take some pics. While there I talked to one of the Rangers & he showed me one of the books we wrote things in that had happened while we were working. I found a Picture of Me & my fellow Rangers & others that were working at the Castle when we got real telephone service at the Castle back in 1986 if I remember right.
Our travels will continue in the next Blog.

Just found your blog last nite and really enjoy it. Keep up the good work. Ed
I vote to place larger sized photos (like the last one posted) on your travelblog page with the narration. The size of the photos on your other site are just too small to fully appreciate.
I enjoy seeing and reading about your trips.
Thx for the imput I have changed the pics.
