Alas, another very overcast and cold day in Seattle and time to say goodbye to Patti and Paul. Great friends, terrific hosts and can't say enough about all the planning they put in to show us a great time. See picture-Thanks so much and we'll see you in Surprise this fall.
After obtaining our rental car, we were off by ferry to Whidbey Island. We toured shops and did some terrific wine tastings along the way to Langley and also in Langley. We love cheap wine tastings and the first was only $3 for 6 pours and the 2nd a $ a pour. And the wine was very good.
As I write today's blog, we are sitting in the Anchorge Inn, in Coupeville, WA. A charming place (see pictures) and quiet and quaint town. The 2nd oldest in Washington state, founded 2 years before Seattle. Very Victorian with may historic buildings. Weather still overcast, windy and cool. Tomorrow were on our way to another Island by ferry to Port Townsend. Tell you about tomorrow, tomorrow. Hope your all having fun.
P.S. Yesterday, I talked about Karen's home, but it was actually Nancy!Opps.

Smooth sailing
Hi Bob, We are getting and enjoying your blogs. How was the sailing across to Whidbey? Did you catch the ferry right away or have to wait? Island life is slow and easy and it sounds like you two are really enjoying. The weather is supposed to be nice afternoons for a few days. Hope you get lots of it. We will be looking forward to reading all about it. Safe travels, Patti and Paul
