Finally, Tigist's room is finished! We completed the painting, furniture, put away the toys and books, made the bed (with her beautiful quilt lovingly made by her grandma Karine), put in the lights, organized the closet (Katrinka categorized all the clothes by size), hung the drapes, and outfitted the changing table nook/future reading nook/future play house. So far, all our 6-and-under-6 friends (Boden, Madison, Sammy, Ben, & Kendalyn) have all tested the digs and highly approve of the space. Boden in particular made certain that he got dibs on Tig's first sleep-over.
Sweet.

Katrinka and I have been preparing for our Ethiopian journey to complete Tigist's adoption for nearly nine months. After all the expectation and emotional ups and downs, we are in the final weeks before we travel! This blog is as much for Tigist as it is for our family and friends...it is our first attempt at blogging, so hopefully we stick to it and document our experience well.... full info

Hey Brian and Katrinka, What a beautiful room! You've created a space that is fun to look at, with just the right amount of "nook" for the times Tig will need it. My favorite part is the mirror at 23". After Tig settles in, I'd really love an interior design consult from the two of you and the 6-and-under-6 tm panel. Love you, April
