I'm so glad to have the day off!! I really need this day to take care of last minute details and to enjoy the last 9 days with the comforts of my home and pets. I am very much looking to an adventure, but it's always nice to know I have my home to come back too. It's experiences such as this that make me appreciate who I am and where I live....
Current weather in Edinburgh? 57 and cloudy....pouring rain predicted on Sunday. Dublin? Not too bad at the moment...but I think the Seattle rain may follow us. Oh well....it will be just like home!
Why in the world would I possibly pick Scotland and Ireland for a vacation in November? Well, why not? It's on my list, it's my birthday, and I have somebody to go with who also has it on his list. If nothing else, good beer drinking, pub, meeting people, staying warm by the fire....type of weather. I'm a seattleite, I won't melt, right? Dave Mulleady, you will be proud of me!!!
People asked me the same when I went to visit Naz two years ago in London....but I actually lucked out then. Little rain...and the last 3 days of my trip were beautiful clear crisp fall days. So I will take a chance and hope for the best.
Sorry that I could not make the trip to Kathmandu a reality this year, but very much appreciated the invitation from Michelle and hope that I will still be able to make it there given enough vacation time. I'm sure Michelle Haycox will have a wonderful reunion there over thanksgiving and I would love to hear about her trip and please take lots of pictures!!!!
Okay, hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween. I'll do my best to share stories of the trip along the way.
Cheers!
