I have decided that I am sick and tired of dealing with my old traveblog site. The site was down so much that it was an incredible hassle to make any updates. I have switched to this new server to make all of my new updates. I will maintain the old site http://travelog.uberblog.com/articles.yatta?userID=422 but all new updates will be made to this new site. I will look into a way that I might be able to transfer my old site's information over to this one but until then, I will just have two sites. If anyone wants an email every time I update my site, let me know and I will add you to the mailing list.
For those of you that don't know, I am currently volunteering with a non-profit organization run out of New York City that takes mentally disabled people on vacations all over the country. My volunteer position is as a leader on these trips. It is a lot of work and responsibility but I love the program. During the summer months, I will be traveling every week to a new place with a new group. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures
and keep my new travelblog up to date.
NEW UPDATE IN THE LIFE OF PAUL: I have decided that In August/September, I am going to be going to South America to volunteer. My initial plans are to spend 6-8 months there. As I make my plans and have more details, I will be sure to update everyone. I am visiting colleges now and will have the application process all done with before I leave so that I will be ready to attend school in the fall of 2006.
Today, Michael and I went on a hike up to McAfee’s knob on the Appalachian trail. It was a warm day and it was great to be able to hike up there with him. All this traveling has definitely made me appreciate all the time I get to spend with the people I love. I am only in Virginia for a few more days as I hope to make a college visiting run before I have to be back in NYC for my next Sprout (the organization) trip to Cooperstown, NY. I am probably going to try and visit Brown, Columbia, and NYU. I know, I know… aiming a little
high but I love challenges and I think I do my best when I am challenged. The education will be sure to challenge me and the price tag might challenge me even more. I’m off to see what I can do about transferring information from my old travelblog. Take it easy.
