Every year the Compass School's Junior class travels to a Spanish speaking country, this year our group of eight will be traveling to the Dominican Republic to immerse ourselves in the culture and to use our knowledge of the Spanish language as we travel through the cities of Santiago and Santo Domingo, and the rural village of Tres Ceibas. We will be studying things such as the country's economy, local food, sports, fair trade arrangements, culture and other such topics while helping do service work with the communities we meet.
