Waking up to Bombs can only mean one thing. Powder! and lots of it. We lined up early at the Collins lift and spotted pro skiers Sage and Matt Collins. The lift attendant called "First Row" and the rush was on. I got one of the first couple chairs up and once at the top, raced across the high traverse. Before I go further let me explain what the High traverse (other names include the High T, and High boy) is. The High T is basically a highway for skiers. Skiers traverse across an entire bowl and the traverse acceses some of the best terrain on the mountain. Because of that fact, on a powder day it becomes a high speed race course in which the likely hood of getting run down by a local very good...speed is your friend.

Anyway, my first run consisted of a run down Greeley Bowl. It was one of the better runs of my life consisting of a full vertical run of face shots and high speed smear turns. Awesome. The rest of the day continued to be excellent and this wasn't even the real storm yet.
