Breakfast was jam on toast, yoghurt and muffin with orange juice. Well today is why we came to Houston. We are off to visit NASA headquarters. We had booked the NASA Level 9 VIP Tour which was hosted by David Cisco who was an excellent story teller. We booked this months ago and it is pretty hard to get in. We had 12 people in our group (they only run about 7 tours per week all with a maximum of 12), a family of 5 from Belgium, a family of 4 from Canada, us and a sole American from Florida. Up at 8.30am and finally a day where we can take things a little slower as we are staying here for 3 nights. Breakfast was pretty crowded and we had simple things like jam on toast, muffins, OJ. Kerry tried the Hot Chocolate but it was not hot enough for her liking ! We were thinking of going to the adjoining Baybrook Mall Shopping Centre as Kerry was keen to go to Macy’s but it’s Easter Sunday and closed. Hence plan B was enacted and we will go instead to Houston Zoo which is about 30 minutes away in Downtown Houston. Parking was fun ! I thought the 4 poster bed we had in Savannah was high but last night we outdid that. In fact on Kerry’s side of the bed there was a two step ladder specifically placed to climb up into bed. Two other interesting facts. Firstly there was no ladder on my side and secondly the ladder on Kerry’s side was on the way to the bathroom so I had to remember that I case I need to go to the bathroom. At around 2am I was in a daze as I stubbed my big toe walking into it !
