It's hard for me to look at the photos of damaged areas. It's harder driving through Bridge City to and from my work site.
I refuse to drive past work a couple of miles to investigate Sabine Pass proper. I have no business there and they are busy.
Work at my site to pack up everything left is continuing as is the mosquito population, stench, heat and pure mess.
We should have new work complexes brought in soon.
Still have not seen a single rabbit since I've returned to the area. No more alligators spotted on my immediate site today either. Of course we're a working a pipeline project in the wetlands / swamp and the crews are seeing enough varmints for everyone.
In case you want to view photos of the areas down here (up here to those of you in the Yucatan), I'll list some of the local ones.
Houston Chronicle: http://www.chron.com/news/photogallery/aerials.html
KOGT radio station from Orange: http://kogt.smugmug.com/Events Next click on Hurricane Ike. Smugmug is their photo area host.
KLVI radio station from Beaumont (my favorite): www.klvi.com Next click the link in the top middle of the page 'Ike, Continuing Coverage', then click #3 Videos and Photos.
There are a lot more out there on the web I know.
I'm more tired now than in the last few days, so I will close for the evening.
Take care, friends.
