Our family has been very busy and on the move over the past week. Here is an overview of our activity:
Sept. 17: George was asked to speak to a children's Bible class at the East Main congregation, in Stockton, CA. The children in this class have been saving money for Swahili Bibles, and have been collecting toys to send to us, to distribute to children in Tanzania. Even though George had previously given a report presentation to the congregation, it was good that he was able to have some more direct interaction with the children, in a smaller group setting. The children had some very interesting questions about our life in Tanzania.
Sept. 18: We flew from California to Oklahoma City, where we spent the weekend with the North MacArthur congregation. It just so happened that this year marks the 20th year that North MacArthur has been supporting the Jensens, beginning when George graduated from the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions. They have been behind our work all these years, and we are SO grateful for their faithful, timely support. There has never been a time when we wondered whether or not their check would be
in the mail, which has been a huge comfort to us.
Sept. 22: One of the members of the North MacArthur congregation, bro, Dan Walker, drove our family to Van Buren, Arkansas, where we met up with the Garrett family. Kipton is the preacher and elder of the congregation that oversees our work. We spent the evening visiting with the Garrett's, who have also very graciously allowed us the use of their van for the next few weeks.
Sept. 23: We drove to Henderson, TN, and spent a couple of nights with Kevin and Lynne Moore. Kevin is part of the Bible faculty at Freed Hardeman University. We became acquainted with Kevin when he and George were at ETSPM. Later, we had the opportunity to get to know Lynne as well, through short-term mission trips to New Zealand, where Kevin and Lynne worked as missionaries for a number of years.
Sept. 24: George spoke to two different missions classes at the University. He also celebrated a birthday. If you want to know which one, I guess you'll have to ask him.
Sept. 25: Today we will be making our way to the Knoxville area. George
is scheduled to speak to the students at ETSPM during their chapel time tomorrow, the 26th.
As you can see, we are staying busy, and keeping on the move. We will be traveling many miles over the next few weeks, and so we ask for your prayers, for our health and safely. Next week we will be planted in one spot, for the most part, while we attend Round House, a family camp for members of the church of Christ, who homeschool their children.
Until next time!

Great getting to see ya'll this week....even if it was briefly! :-)
I learned earlier today (Thursday, Sept 25) that you were speaking in chapel at ETSPM tomorrow ... until then Gary lead me to believe I was speaking. Seems like he forgot the schedule ... I'll be the one in the back of the classroom with the straw and the spitwads.
Look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning.
In Christ,
Jody
