This is a definitive “Heck, yeah!” to those of you who asked if there are to be anymore trip blogs after our sale of Mufasa, I hope this alleviates your worries! Since we sold our motorhome after 45+ years of RVing, most questions have been the same one...can you still do a blog?? The answer to that is definitely “Yes”! We have just given up RVing, not traveling. This is our first blog (but not first trip) post Mufasa. You will have to be the judge of whether or not the blogs are still fun! Stay tuned. Mufasa is safe in his new home in East Tennessee (thanks Kip!) and has already been to Oklahoma. His new owner is going to be following John and me on this journey. To those who were not aware that ... read more

Note from yesterday: after going out for supper yesterday evening, my step total was 14,925...and that was with riding the Tube as much as we did. Of course, we have discovered to our horror that riding the Tube, by definition, means walking up and down TONS of steps! Well, it all had to end after all. We had a trip of a lifetime for sure. Our planned and scheduled trip with CIE was more than we had hoped for. We pulled out of camp at 9:00 with...of course...our first stop being a nearby Walmart. The main reason for that stop was to check our tires to make sure we were OK before leaving the area where the shop that took care of us yesterday was located. Gun shy? Yes. We were heading out from there at 9:30. There was very heavy truck traffic all the way home today. This is the most of that ... read more

One more state clicked off! Welcome to the Bluegrass State!

Well, here we are on the road again! As tends to be usual with us, we have only a vague notion as to where we might end up. I wasn’t sure (and still am not) certain if this will be a full blown blog. Having said that, I have been accosted by several of you (and you KNOW who you are) with questions, complaints, and some pressure about the possibility of a blog this summer. I thought I would at the very least start out with a few days and see how it goes. I might not publish every day depending on availability of WIFI and availability of interesting or funny news. We will all just have to see how it goes so stay tuned! We do know that the first part of our trip will ... read more
