It's a family tradition... one that began before I was even born when my parents honeymooned in the fun little mountain town. Many years have passed, and here I am 23 years old, and the family still continues to make the yearly drive up into the mountains to celebrate each passing anniversary that finds my parents.

Gatlinburg is mostly a tourist town, clinging to the smells of hot chocolate, fudge, and the history of panning for gold, and nearby indian reservations, and the bears who wander around nearby. You can shop for mementos of the trip, people watch, or just enjoy all the touristy attractions - it seems as if Ripley's museums own half the city!
