My apartment is empty. The moving truck is packed. I can't describe how strange it is to be leaving, and not knowing when I will be coming back. It's been a crazy ride in 'the city that loves you back'. Much LOVE (with a tilted O) [View Full Entry]

Yesterday I graduated from college! I had lunch with my mother and father and godmother. I had dinner with dad and Jenifer. I had a really nice day. Went back to Doc Watson's which I haven't been inside of since St. Patrick's day of 2005! Lots of changes yesterday. Tomorrow I move out of the apartment building that has been my home for the last three years. I'm leaving most of the best friends I have ever had. I couldn't be more excited and more scared. Our job was to cause a spectacle and let people know that Circ had come to town. I can't imagine how we must have looked walking down the street with people on their way to work
5am (first morning after UArts finals) Get up, eat breakfast, put on HUGE white dress, hair and makeup (including LOTS of glitter), grab phone and wallet, walk to hotel/meeting place. Gig: Performance Promotion for Circus De Sol: KOOZA. Two fourteen hour days of street performing and show promotion. Is this my life? Is this the joy of being an independent contractor? ..........I couldn't be more thrilled. It was exhausting but an amazing first post college job. [View Full Entry]

Below is the text of the graduation announcement I sent out. The site can not support the pdf file (brilliantly designed by Gabi Aizenberg. Happy to e-mail copies anyone would like one) Dearest Friends and Family, For almost as far back as I can remember I’ve been a student, however I am writing to let you know that, for now, I have reached the end of my formal academic career. I will be graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia on May 22 from the BFA acting program. The past four years have been truly rich and memorable ones. [View Full Entry]

The day after tomorrow I will officially be a college graduate. I will be a proud owner of a diploma from the University of the Arts BFA Acting program...........so now what?I have been a student for as long as I can remember and more or less my life has been structured around my education. I have grown so much in this city, and although I hope to return, it's not my home. I'm not 100% sure where that is. I will miss seeing all faces that have become so firmilar over the last four years. I will miss the friends I [View Full Entry]

No sadly there's no Mrs. Robinson in my life.. at least so far. As of May 18, 2008 I am officially a graduate of Bucknell University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. For the first time in my life I can no longer check the 'student' box on applications or questioneers- luckily my student ID doesn't have a date on it so i think i'll be getting the student discounts as long as my face refelcts that boyish charm from 2004.. I remember my high school graduation; though it was a month later in the year, thunderstorms were expected and the [View Full Entry]

So I've decided that I'm going to spend this summer exploring the rest of the world (or as far as my railroad employee pass will take me). I'll have to look up the Phillies away schedule to see when they're playing in New York and DC. I might even plan a trip up to Boston to catch a Red Sox game since they're nice enough to come down here and play an interleague series with us. Also, I'm going to start visiting places around Philadelphia more often so travelers have an idea of what they should see when they come here. [View Full Entry]

Ventetid
Ventetid

We took the Greyhound bus from Manhatten to Philadelphia which took us under the Hudson river via the Lincoln tunnel. On the otherside we had great views of the Manhatten sky line as we said goodbye to new York. Two hours later we were in the centre of Philadephia and took a taxi to our hotel. Two Queen size beds and cable TV! We had dinner at Dave and Busters a typical American restaurant and then went back to the hotel. In the morning we stocked up on the free breakfast which included waffles that you made yourself. Then we headed [View Full Entry]

This will be another trip of a lifetime for me! I have always wanted to go to Alaska since I don't know when, to be honest. I've had brochures, booklets, websites saved and 4 (yes 4) DVDs of nothing but Alaska programs from the Travel, Discovery & History channels! I've got all episodes of Into Alaska with Jeff Corwin, Andrew (Bizzare Foods) Zimmerman, Big America, 1,000 Places to see-Alaska, Walking the World- Chilkoot Trail, Fearless Planet, Extreme Alaska, Travels on the Edge, various travel channel shows like Alaskan Wild, Wide Open, Artic Wildlife, etc., and even Sunrise Earth for goodnes [View Full Entry]
