I open the front door on my way to the mailbox to find a large box on the front step. It is a care package for Kirill from his parents in Germany. I was excited to see it was from Germany, but then realized it was not for me. I bring it inside and head back out to the mailbox. There I find the envelope we have been waiting for. It required a bit of restraint on my part to hold back from singing like Charlie in Willy Wonka. They are so bright and shinny and I can't wait to use them. One week from now, I will be in some tent or another enjoying all that Oktoberfest has to offer. Stay tuned for more to come.... read more
