The little "Quaint" town of Drayton in Rural North Dakota
The lake cabin I knew would be the last time I would see all my friends together for a year. I had to say goodbye to Nate for a year since he had to go back to Ohio. I knew that everyone in the cities I would see at least once more before I left. Seeing my friends Steve and Julie meant a trip to rural North Dakota.
Steve and Julie were in the cities for a wedding and they said they would take me with them back to Drayton. To get back home they said a train ride was a fun option. The drive from Minneapolis to Drayton was about 5 hours and we left on a Sunday. Sunday night I was given a tour of Steve's new house and we had dinner.
Monday was when I went with Steve to his farm. We spent the morning looking at crops of wheat, sugar beets, and soy beans. Once we got home Steve put me straight to work sanding his deck. I think on that day I realized that farming and working in a corporate office are to very

different world. :) I never after a hard days work of meeting and typing had to go home a take a shower.
On Tuesday Julie and I went on a road trip around rural North Dakota. We went through a few of small towns and drove by lots of fields. I also discovered with Julie not all of North Dakota is flat. We had a nice morning of putting into perspective what a small town really is (Mountain, North Dakota). We met Steve later at the farm and I got to drive a tractor. I had a really nice time seeing Steve's home town and saying goodbye to a few friends. See you both in Europe!
This was my last trip before heading off to Washing DC to start the adventure of a life time.
