Entry 1: Sitting in Charlotte Airport

Well, it's 4 AM Seattle time and 7 AM Charlotte time, and Becky and I have arrived at the Charlotte (CLT) airport dazed and tired. The cramped coach seats were incredibly uncomfortable, and they didn't have enough blankets and pillows to give us. Needless to say our necks are cramped and we're tired. But I shouldn't be complaining -- the flight went well, we met a woman on board who was a nanny (she has nannied in the Alps of all places), who was really kind. Currently we are sitting in large wooden rocking chairs at the atrium, with a misty morning peering into the windows behind us. It's going to be another 4 hours of waiting until our next 4 hour flight, so it's going to be a long time until we're able to check into the hotel. Luckily this airport has free wireless internet so we're able to keep up with the world a little bit. I'm not sure I'll be able to say the same thing at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort at St Martin.

We'll try to keep updating this as we go, and uploading photos of the trip for those who want to see them. We already miss everyone at home, especially after feeling the huge outpouring of love and care at our wedding. We both thought we'd be ready to just leave and be alone, but turns out an experience like our wedding makes us just appreciate the amazing families we have and want to spend time with them:). Oh well! We'll be excited to see everyone when we get back!

I'll try to upload photos of the beautiful room we had at the Bellevue Westin hotel for our very first night. It was amazing!
