Sort of slept in… Anne and Jessica came to pick us up to enjoy our day off.
So, whenever Ryan is around, he brings me presents. Yesterday’s present was a Swear Box. Yep. That means people have to give me money if they swear (this mostly applies to Anne.) After settling on the words that count, mostly described as “words I don’t say,” we settled the price. Regular days, $.25 per word. Show days, applying to local crew as well, $.25 per word. But, on show days, once the kids are in the building, the price doubles. So, today I made $1.75 in just the afternoon! What a fun game!
All of us loaded the cars to go into town. First, we went to the mall. Kyle and I had a Mac Store date! We got our hands on the new Air and looked at iPod Touches. Drooling. He started asking the man at the store about them and Joey said, “this is your only reason not to buy one, unless she [referring to me] says you can’t.” Haha. I assured Joey that I had nothing to do with any of what Kyle did. Anne bought some toys and some screen cleaner, we all had lunch and headed back on the road. [At lunch, I got some bourbon chicken and some AMAZING carrots! They were so good!]
I tried to find some new trousers, as my favorite green ones are wearing out. No dice. Then we found this great little downtown area Beth wanted to see, and hung out there for some time. It was so nice just sitting in the sun! I got some color on my legs and feet, and maybe face a little too. It was probably around 75 and gorgeous. There was barbeque at the house for dinner, so we made sure we made it back. Afterwards, we drove back into town to shoot some pool and get cheesecake. Sarah was bouncing off the walls like a crazy person, very feisty.
It was a good day off, but I really really really want to get back on the road!
