Well, here I am, Day 2 of my trip and I find myself in New York again ! I love this freakin' town - everything about it is amazing, however, most of all, the cultural diversity just blows me away - european, asian, latinos, african-american, italian, sudanese - you name it, they're in the NYC ! I arrived yesterday into New York and stayed at the Marriot Marquie, my mate Matt got an agent discount ($89 for one night) and the rooms was huge and overlooked Time Square, wow it was amazing. I now have moved to my lesser impressive hotel lol, but i dont plan on spending much more time in the room, only when i have to run away from crazies late at night lol. I am appreciating New York eversomuchmore than I had imagined I would. I assume it's the particular company I have. For one, Nari and Zoe have been on top of it in the entertainment field. It's good to slip into the cozy and worn friendshoeps like this. The breakdown of my own solo exploration is nothing less than typical tourism. Started off by taking the city bus tour (on the same ticket as the previous night's tour) winding our way to downtown (lower) Manhattan. The tour guide lost any chance of a decent tip by stopping the bus outside Macy's for long enough to arouse the interest of a certain tourist. Hopped off the bus at the WTC site but we didn't stay long - with construction underway on the new towers, there was little to see and difficult to get close to the site at all. Sad but true, Central Park saw the last day in New York. I have decided that I am a HUGE fan of New York -even despite the sub zero temperatures. There is so much life in the city and I can tell that when things get a little hectic, the locals head to Central Park for some time-out. The park itself is huge. We only walked around for about 1 hour and maybe got a 1/4 of the way through but it is just beautiful. So unfortunately, there isnt much to report in New York. I am back on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. But before all of you ladies start fainting at my closely looming presence I must inform you I am not on the left coast. It's freezing today! Sorry for breaking into song but it is hard not to in this beautiful city. So, for your reading pleasure, we will split New York up - because this place is seriously amazing - Albeit FREEZING COLD!! We took the red eye flight from LA to NY and arrived at JFK at 8:30am.
