So decided to go to New York for Halloween since I've been for Summer, 4th of July and Christmas!!! Now only thing left is to go during Thanksgiving....
This time I decided to spend as much time with Leyla, who lives in New York, as I could to see other parts of New York I hadn't seen before and also see Ingerith, who lives in London but I don't get to see her often in London.
First off we went to Downtown Brooklyn to see the bridge and area and also to take some jumping shots. It was quite different, more residential and cultural then busy like the city. A lot of mothers and babies, which to me was great because I love kids!!!
Secondly went to Central Park Zoo. I finally got to see the Polar Bears which is what I have been meaning to do since I first went to New York in 2000. Also see the monkeys and sea lions.
Then next day did a bit of shopping and then met up with Desiree to go to Bryant Park to Ice-Skate and go to the fun fair. It was fun skating there because it
wasn't to crowded because the kids were in school. After that we met up with Ingerith and her boyfriend, Albert, and their friends Ken and Jen to go to Serendipity Cafe (from the movie "Serendipity") to eat and have the best dessert ever, frozen hot chocolate!!! Then onto the the Halloween Parade which was fantastic. It was amazing how much effort they put into dressing up and also partying! Dez dressed up as an American Indian woman and Ley dressed up as a ghetto Snow White!!! Everywhere I turned there were people in costumes, from Batman and Robin, to i-Pod cases to sperm!!! If I ever go back to New York during Halloween I will definately dress up!!!
Next day went to Closters uptown!!! It was absolutely beautiful! It was sooooo quite and peaceful! Took some great pics there and I didn't want to leave! But we did and we met up with Dez to do some last minute shopping before I flew out that evening!
