Well, its not most people's 1st vacation choice but its where I went to college and have a lot of fond memories. The misuses and I are crashing over our dearest friends where we hang out, commune, and do some leisure sight seeing.

Rochester is actually a descent place to spend a weekend. Its not really known for its down town nightlife but it does have many suburb neighborhoods with their own attractions & night life. The city hosts 3-4 colleges , which incurs an intellectual as well as an international community. RIT (my Alma Mater) hosts the National Institute for the Deaf, yet another community of honorable mention. The City & School owes its life to George Eastman, the philanthropist founder of Eastman Kodak.

Events & Attractions:

*A renovated High Falls - Clubs & Dining
*They offer 3-4 festivals a year. (Lilac Festival, Park Ave Fest. Street walk, October fest)
*Museums & Performing Arts
* A big farmer's market with some good deals.
* A bar & pub for just about everyone with every flavor: Micro-brews, Irish & English Pubs, Martini's & Wine, or just a Dives for the down and cheap college broke (hehe).

I'll have more info, corrections later. Its 3:30am for me!

Tip:

DiBella's Sub Sandwich shop. Huge sandwiches, Freshly baked bread, liberal offering of toppings & condiments. 1 sandwich can last you 1-2days. No joke. Its the best sandwich shop bar none. Ask anyone in Rochester or Buffalo.

Although I'm not traveling on a daily basis, I hope to be a resource to people regarding the places I have been to in the interim. Please have a look on my maps and feel free to inquire on my experiences. Some of them were exciting & extensive (like Vietnam) and other... full info
