The weeks before...

Hi all! So, I'm a little late on this blog, but still... putting it up anyway! The weeks leading up to my departure were both REALLY stressful and REALLY fun.

May 30 - the yearbooks were distributed to the students. It was a bit melancholy because it was the last time I would hand over these books, which took months and months of work to make, to 600+ students! It's a very cool day... classes are shortened and at the end, they get their yearbooks and go outside to sign them. Some students bands played so we had some nice music. Weather was on our side and everything went very smoothly.

June 7 - My co-worker's son (previous student) and a friend moved almost all my stuff into my storage unit. That, seriously, was such a blast! They are great kids and mom, myself and them had so much fun moving. Best movers ever!

June 12 - I sold my amazing beautiful, wonderful, awesome, sweet car... She went to a really cool and kind new owner called Sara. I'm so happy to know she's in good hands, but man, that was rough to let her go! That evening I also moved into my mother's basement... the cozy cave as I came to call it... with just what I planned on bringing and a few extra things.

June 13 - Last day of teacher for a while! The kids were great and after school was the FEA golf tournament. It was a blast and nice to have some fun during the stress.

June 16 - Grandmom Dee arrives from Florida to stay the week with us. So much fun to see her and the rest of the family :) Glad you came up Grandmom!
During this and the next week I spent time at school packing everything up and making glass jewelry to sell over in ireland. I made a TON before I left with the last load coming out the morning before I drove away! I will miss people at school, but I am definitely ready to leave. This was also the Jazz festival... my favorite event in Rochester. I was able to work a little bit for the paper and shoot a little for pleasure while listenin' to some REALLY cool music. Twas a blast. Also was able to play some music with friends before I left ... outside... by a lake... cool!

June 23 - Went to the session and my awesome friends had gotten some food and a card and we played all night! It was pretty special.
