We have official ran out of steam the final leg of this United states east coast tour was meant to encompass Washington and Philadelphia and the very last run of the trip was Philip going to be running up the rocky steps in Philadelphia but we can face no more travelling .I think we need a Holiday....

In fact if we were in any other city in the world we probably would of gone home but were in New York the greatest city on earth and the reason for that isn’t the obvious times square, the statue of liberty, the Chrysler building the empire state, central park, the met, the mets, the Manhattan bridge it’s the people. In three days in New York we make more friends than probably the previous 90 odd days travelling he world. Warm engaging people who are happy to pass the day with you.

And that’s how we spent the last three days wandering the city mossing up seven avenue back down fifth etc spending hours wandering this city as every corner has a different story to tell and different person to meet. We recharge in the new York sun in central par k it’s the hottest on record and the park is a great place to be. with approximately twenty-five million visitors each year, it is the most visited urban park in the United States. The park was first opened in 1857, on 770 acres of city owned land, then in 1858, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux won a design competition and you know what they based it on ..Birkenhead Park a world away in every sense
Its full of life people get married, families have picnic there are ball games galore joggers and cyclists sunbathers . We spend an hour watching a children sports day egg and spoon races three legged races its great fun .

The biggest faux pas is to wandering in to a bar because once in its hard to get out as a succession of drinks are presented to you by perfect strangers just happy to sit and make an acquaintance of you. And its 4.30am on Thursday when we leave one day.

So we have two more nights in new York before we head for from, one last jog in central park could be called for and them new clothes Philip promised himself shopping in new York it’s a hard life.
