Did the uptown tour today. Got off at the corner of Central Park and saw the CNN building and the tower that Donald Trump lives in! Walked through the front corner of Central Park, which is so pretty in the fall with all the leaves on the ground. Headed to America’s museum of Natural History. Another bloody museum, but this one turned out to be great. We did a ‘Journey to the Stars’ show in the dome-shaped Planetarium, which was narrated by Whoppi Goldberg. Very interesting! Heaps of stuff to look at in the museum, including dinosaur, ocean life and American animal exhibits, but not enough time.
Bus went through Harlem, Upper West Side and East side. Harlem has the reputation, but the parts we saw didn’t seem anywhere near as rough as the movies.

Went to the Guggenheim Museum. Lucky entry was included in our NY pass, as the art displayed was by an artist called Kadinsky and we went through it within 20 mins. Art is definitely not our thing!!! Most interesting thing about the place was the outside - the building is shaped in a spiral (very cool).
Walked in different parts of Central Park again. Found the Boat House (off 27 dresses, the one she wanted to get married at) and a few other cool places. Such as the 2 ice skating rinks. Ran out of time to have a skate.

Thought we’d head via Madison Square Garden to try and book a stadium tour and fluked a College Basketball Doubleheader!!!! So there went our early night. It was half time in the first game California vs Ohio State when we got in. Then had a cracking game between Syracuse and North Carolina. Andrew has adopted Syracuse as his College team - is even trying to find a jumper in all the stores around here! Unbelievale atmosphere - about 10,000 screaming fan!! Syracuse (in Orange) were so loud. Each team even had a college band playing and North Carolina had Cheerleaders (guys and girls). Was very entertaining and an awesome time - Syracuse won by about 18 points. You can all imagine how Andrew felt. We had a few beers, a Hot Dog and Nachos for dinner. Couldn’t get more American than that!!!
