Hello - another quick update. I am still alive and got to NYC safely! The dorm i am in only has 8 in it so it is much quieter than in philly where there were 30! I am doing my best to see the touristy things, so far that includes Times Sq, Broadway, the Empire States Building, the UN building and Saks but the most exciting news is that i was able to buy a pair of trainers, in my size, at 11.45pm - amazing!

hostel is in a pretty good location, near the number 1 line that takes me straight to the centre and is just a couple of blocks from central park, though i suppose a lot of new york is just a couple of blocks away from central park!

museums and statue of liberty tomorrow!
