NYC BABY!!

HI EVERYBODY

thats me arrived safe and sound! its 8am here in ny and ive been up since 6!!
had a nice time in london courtesy of the crookie, was a gorgeous hotel but very posh. you can imagine what me and raymy looked like by the time we got there. kat had arranged a nice bottle of champers for us aswell and a lovely chocolate plate that said "welcome ms mackinnon" :-) but i couldnt even enjoy it properly cos i felt sick knowing i was going the next day!!
well the flight was ok and seemed to go quite quick, had loads of fun trying to send a text to raymy with the onboard computer thats parts of your wee tv screen in front of you. cost $5 dollars and dont even think he got it!! immigration when we arrived was a nightmare, woman next to me said she'd never seen it that bad, which is just typical. waited almost 2 hrs in the queue then when i get to desk

me: holiday

Me: just travelling
O: what will you be doing when travelling
Me: sightseeing
O: what things are you going to see ( yeah, seriously)
Then
O: is that all your luggage for 8 weeks
Me: yeah im actually travelling for a year
O: and thats all you've got with you, what kind of things did you pack

seriously i mean there was about about 500 people behind me but i must have looked suspicious haha

so after all that i was planning on goin for the bus, but i was knacked and knew i would have a big walk ahead of me when i got off so i ended up jumping a yellow cab. cost $60 including tip. it was fun tho, 1st time in one, and an amazing feeling when you catch a glimpse of the empire state building for the first time!! breath taking, first time i felt properly excited!!

when i arrived at the hostel, i went up to my dorm and my bed wasnt made so had to trudge all way back to reception to get it sorted, also there are 10 girls in the dorm and someones got really smelly socks hanging up, but it isnt so bad once you get used to it :-) so it isnt exactly the posh hotel i was staying in the night before, but i suppose all part of the fun hahaha, went to bed at 8.15 although it was 1am back in glasgow, and slept for about 10hours, so ive been up since 6!
just about to go sightseeing, its roasting here already, think im gonna fry, ill update again when ive had a look around nyc and let you all know what i buy in fifth avenue!! yeah rite!!
