Welcome to yet another facet of Jillsbrain and thanks for stopping by! It’s great to know you will be along for some of the ride wherever this whole winding road may lead.
Right now I am still in Brooklyn, still experiencing waves of excitement, self-doubt, anticipation, fear and bliss but still knowing I’ve settled into the right decision. Such is the human condition.
The big picture for me right now is to put my life into smallish boxes and lug them to a storage unit so that I may amble unfettered and with some sense of freedom. Ironic that although I'm in a stage of life where many people are building and acquiring for their future, I feel this need to unburden my life from those mascots of security. I hope you, my friend, stick around for the next twenty years because I may be knocking on the house you built of brick......okay, okay, enough huffing and puffing.
The next chapter is wide open for me. I will tell you now where my areas of interest lie but let's all hope that it changes once I formally become a road agent, after all the whole gig is about serendipity, no? Central/South America, Russia/Mongolia/China via the Trans-Siberian Railway and Africa all tickle and intrigue as well as the notion to set sail through the South Pacific. What do you think....a year or two? Sheesh, dunno. Certainly I’ll be circling back to spend time with family and friends as much as possible but right now I have some exploring to do. Let’s hope I can exorcise this travel demon.
