Getting up at 7 AM. I've never woken up at this time with such an enthusiasm before. For breakfast Lara (a nice girl who I'm staying with) bought super big blueberry muffins. Yummy! Quick getting ready and then going to the metro.
42nd Street, Times Square and a feeling that everything is EXTREMELY big. For the first time in my life I felt small and so lost.
Lara had to go to work so I joined her. Viacom International, 33rd floor, a great view of Broadway and Times Square. Quick coffee and then exploring the city...
5th Avenue... Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani... Unfortunately I didn't find a husband or at least someone who would take for breakfast at Tiffany's (joke) 😉
Not to waste time (because what do I actually need a husband for?!) I went to the metro at 42nd towards downtown. There Battery Park and a view of the Statue of Liberty. I was going to see it but the line was so long that I didn't really feel like waiting. Instead of that I went to the WTC Memorial passing by the Trinity Church. WTC... Well... There is now only construction and some signs that say not to
come too close to it.
Lara was supposed to get off from work around 3 PM so I still had pretty much time. Enough to see and walk through the Brooklyn Bridge.
Then a phone call, meeting with Lara at the Grand Central Terminal and going downtown to a wonderful bar called Frying Pan where Margarita was served in... jars (!!!). The whole jar (more than two liters) for only $25. Craziness!
And it's only 9 PM.

Pobudka o 7:00 rano. Nigdy w zyciu nie wstawalam o tak poganskiej porze z takim entuzjazmem. Na sniadanie Lara (przesympatyczna dziewczyna, u krorej nocuje) kupila monstrualnie duze jagodowe muffinki. Pycha! Szybkie ograniecie sie i rach ciach do metra.
42nd Street, Times Square i poczucie, ze wszystko jest EKSTREMALNIE wielke. Po raz piewrwszy w zyciu czulam sie tak mala i zagubiona.
Lara musiala isc do pracy, wiec poszlam razem z nia. Viacom International, 33-e pietro, piekny widok na Broadway i Times Square. Szybka kawa a potem samodzielna wycieczka po miescie.
5th Avenue... Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani...
Tam Battery Park i widok Statue Wolnosci. Zamiar by zobaczyc ja z bliska byl, jednak kolejka okazala sie byc zbyt dluga, by czekac. Zamiast wiec czekac w conajmniej dwugodzinnej kolejce udalam sie w kierunku WTC Memorial. Po drodze slynny kosciol Trojcy Swietej. A WTC... Coz... Jedynie plac budowy i znaki drogwe, zeby nie podchodzic zbyt blisko. Co jednak zobaczylam to moje.
Lara miala wyjsc z pracy okolo 15:00, wiec mialam sporo czasu. Spacerkiem wiec doszlam i przeszlam przez Brooklyn Bridge.
Nastepnie telefon, spotkanie pod Grand Central Terminal i wypad do cudownej knajpy Frying Pan na dolnym Manhattanie, gdzie Margarita serwowana byla w... dzbankach (!!!) Ponad dwa lirtry za "jedyne" 25$. Szalenstwo!
A jest dopiero 21:00.
