Today was a blur. I stayed up with my cousin until 5 in the morning, and then slept at his place. When I woke up at noon, I was quickly dragged off to the first destination of the day, where I had a nice lunch with people I hadn't seen in years or had never met in my life. I then started touring the state - visiting house after house after house of people who somehow knew me, but I didn't know them. They kept commenting on "how much I've grown." Grandma set sail for her final cruise on Friday, February 8, 2008. She died peacefully while still in her bed with her rosary beads nearby. Grandma prayed every night before going to sleep for her entire family and loved ones. Luckily, she didn't suffer any ailments or sickness. For a woman of 88 years, she was in good health, maintaining her independence til her last day. Kay Zonenberg was born with the last name Gallovich in Vandergrift, PA on July 15, 1919. Welcome to my Travel Blog! As the title notes, I have found it important to start my blog somewhere before I have actually began packing. Deel 1: Januari (3 weken) De brrrrrrrr's tot nu toe aan Amerika: Sportief wezen: - geen openbare zwembaden!! En ik had me nochtans zo voorgenomen om vanaf nu baantjes beginnen te trekken. Mijn blijheid was dus groot toen ik in de Hyatt mocht inchecken, want ze hebben hier een zwembad! Mijn blijheid was niet meer zo groot toen ik zag hoe 'groot' het zwembad was :D. Vertrek: veel te goed op tijd in luchthaven van Guatemala City. En dan had vlieger nog meer dan een uur vertraging .. Terminal was drukkend, te warm loom, geen luchtcirculatie en duf .. Vlucht duurde daarom ook veel te lang naar mijn goesting (wel maar 4u, maar kwas niet in vlieg-vorm). Arrival: formulieren op het vliegtuig gekregen om in te vullen (immigratie en niets-aan-te-geven) en dan met 'bang hartje' bij de duoane aanschuiven. This will be the last entry in this country! yay! I had a most fabulous weekend thanks to some super dooper wonderful friends!! Friday was lunch with granny and cousin Michelle and dinner with Jackie, Jaime and Stacey...yum pizza. Saturday started off watching the Scarlet Knights kick some Ball State Booty in the International Bowl while eating delicious paninis and mimosas. Hi guys! Well, I am currently sitting in the Newark airport, where I will be sitting until 7 pm. Notice that the time now is 1 pm. MISERABLE.
