Yes, this has been part of a major turning point for me. The opportunities I've come across, first out of necessity of distraction from personal stress and relief from my old work routine, have become an expanded professional project. I've been able to be figure several things out along the way, not everything, but many things, which is very good.
But first, I've got to get home.
My plane left McCarran at 10:15 p.m. last night, and arrive in Atlanta around...who knows, around 6 a.m.? Then I waited for three hours, as it was our layover time. I picked up an interior decorating magazine. I craved pizza and I found some, but it tasted terrible. I curled up in the chair near my gate and tried to sleep. It was so cold. Other people were stretched out asleep on several chairs, so that was pretty funny. I munched on walnuts and watched CNN on the t.v. from where I sat, something about Imus the radio host and then of course they mentioned the war in Iraq.
The plane to Newark was SO cold, and I wasn't the only one complaining. They had no blankets, and my luggage was
checked in. I only had my Juicy hoodie to keep me warm. I listened to some ambiance music, whatever you call it, and it knocked me right out. When the stewardesses came by with the beverage cart, I could barely hold my head up and keep my eyes open as I held my coffee cup up to be filled...so I almost dropped it! You ask what did I almost drop: the cup or my head? My answer is: both.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...............
I arrive in Newark at 10:27 a.m...three minutes ahead of schedule...woo-hoo. Cold, starved, but most importantly...tanned! :p
I would have taken a shuttle, but Dad offered to pick me up. The traffic was thick. It has taken him four hours to arrive. We are on our way home to Connecticut now, and will probably pick up some fish and chips. Yum!
This is me coming in from the airport; Over and out.
My luggageplus my carry-on pink Adidas backpack. My book and Harry Potter journal rest atop my duffle on the left.
