So I'm almost off to Europe again. My flight leaves at 10PM tonight. I can't wait!
There is good news and bad news concerning the Greece trip. My department gave me the money to go. But I chose to use it towards tuition next semester instead. It was a tough choice, since Greece a Classical wonderland and I am an avid Classicist. But alas, I will make it there one day. I have too many financial constraints as it is and hopefully that Greece money will alleviate them.
So here is the game plan so far: I'll be in Madrid for 6 days. I will be there on Wednesday and my brother will come join me on Saturday. Then we are both going to Barcelona for three days. From Barcelona, Pawel, Jenn, and I are flying to Poland, where we'll spend 2 nights in Wroclaw just in time for the Juwenalia. Juwenalia is a student festival- concerts, parties, games, festivities... Yes! After that, we are going to Krakow for 3 nights.. which I am very excited for as I plan on spending 2 years there after I graduate. Jenn has a flight back to Madrid from Katowice. My brother
and I, therefore, are left with about a week and a half to do stuff. He wants to go to Amsterdam. However, I think it's too expensive. Therefore, we will probably go to Warszawa for a bit and then hit up Prague since it's a quick train ride from PL.
Although I'm in NJ right now, I added some pictures of Vanderbilt flora because this entry needs some color. I like to walk around campus and take random pictures. Vanderbilt has some great landscaping. The first picture is from a great sunset I caught outside of the Medical Research Building. I had to climb all the way up to the 9th floor to get that shot.
