I had one of my best Sprout trips ever last week. We stayed on a farm (well, it was more of a resort with a few animals) in New Hampshire for the week. The farm was great for a Sprout trip because all the activities and meals were right there and within walking distance. We spent the week boating around on the private pond, feeding animals, milking goats and cows, playing basketball, and swimming around in their 3 pools. We got to camp about 10pm Friday evening, it was incredibly warm and sticky and the mosquitos were out in full force! I desperatley wanted to shower but was so tired just went o bed. We are staying in whats called a yurt while we are on staff training over the next few weeks. Its hard to explain what a yurt is, I've got some photos which I may be able to put on at a later date. Arrived safe and sound yesterday. Took about 3 hours to get to camp. There are 5 other "internationals" as they call us! Everyone is very friendly and I have two days to relax before I start training on Monday. Went to Peterborough "A good place to live" according to the sign! Not much there but there is a bar which hopefully I will see at some point. Staying in one of the yurts - bit like a big tent but with camp beds. Now that I've been out of college and working for two years I finally have the means to do some traveling. Unfortunately I don't have the free time I used to two years ago, it took some hard work, planning and creative thinking to find it. Home for a few days to meet up with the fam and see some friends. Made me miss New England a lot, I drove from Boston to NH in a complete snowstorm which was really pretty and then of course everything was crisp and white in NH with the new snow everywhere.
