Location of Update: Derry, NH Time scheduled for departure: 12 Noon Time actually left in typical McLaughlin fashion: 1:43pm (Please note: This is the time that Fortis left the driveway at 15 Apollo Rd. This does not include time spent at CVS in Derry, or stopping at Wendy's. Mostly we think that this is ok.) (Please also note: DJ's car will henceforth be refered to as Fortis) DJ arrived from storage/packing and showered while Katie went to grab a few last minute items at the store. From Katie: Things to note about the status of our car: I decided to [View Full Entry]

Well this morning in Augustya Maine was really interesting. Someone tried to kidnap my Llama, I had to yell after them and tell them to put it back. I was amazed how many students tried to steal my pens and the like. It really blew my mind, I mean they would walk up, pick up a pen and try and walk away. I mean there are not even good pens, just generic ones that I bought at wal-mart. I was not the only rep who had people trying to take stuff. Someones pennant got taken and she tracked the student [View Full Entry]

Day 6 – Saturday - Nashua, New Hampshire Let's see, an early (ish) start for us, as we were supposed (SUPPOSED) to meet Karen at 8am. But after a case of missing sneakers (Kalea's not mine lol) and a runaway dog Roo & I were marvelling that Karen hadn't yet called us as we finally pulled out of Roo's place already 20 minutes late (that is until Roo discovered her cell phone was off hahaha). We finally met up with Karen (and her 10 month old Jocelyn) at Dunkin Donuts (mmmmm great breakfast rolls and iced coffees ha!). So Dean [View Full Entry]

The snows that the meteorologists promised for the Denver area didn't come. When I woke up at 6:00, I jumped to the window and breathed a sigh of relief to notice that the sky was cloudy and not a flake of snow had fallen overnight. Not bothering to eat breakfast because I was to anxious to get on the plane, I checked out of the hotel and made my way to Denver International Airport. Once at my gate, I sat and waited, listening to people make cell phone calls. One woman was saying how another airline, in anticipation of the snow, [View Full Entry]

I finally earnt a week off work and was joined by my Dad, his wife Andrea and her daughter Jordan. They spent two nights at Sargent Center from which we took a trip to Springfield, MA to see the birthplace of Dr Seuss and to explore his memorial garden. I enjoyed having my picture taken with the Lorax! We then drove 8 hours up to Niagra Falls and were rewarded with great weather and a fantastic view of the falls. It was very quiet so we were able to explore without masses of tourists. I have to say though that this [View Full Entry]

Here is a picture of my wife and daughter as we plan for our trip to China.
Well the plane tickets are purchased, our VISA's have arrived and our passports are all in order. Now the big question how do you keep a 19 month old baby from driving all the other plane passengers crazy? We are scheduled to leave Boston on our trip to China March 17th at about 11:30 AM. We will first be flying to Newark, NJ and then off to Honk Kong. We will be staying in Hong Kong for several days and then we will head in land to mainland China, to visit my wives family.
