Wednesday, August 27th 12:14am We have come to the conclusion that there is way too much to do in Las Vegas, so we are just going to try and get as much done as we can and do the rest next year. Monday, August 25, 2008 2:22pm, Somewhere over Nevada VEGAS BABY!! Renee and I are headed to Las Vegas for a little excitement and relaxation; I know they are kind of opposites but hey! Tuesday, August 27, 2008 12:18am That was a very long Las Vegas sized day, let me try and remember everything. Tuesday 26th August Traveling back to Las Vegas today, we set out after I had had my gym fix in Barstow at Anytime Fitness gym!! We were soon into the heat of the Mojave Desert with air con on full at 90+ all the way. After a 2 hour drive, we arrived in Vegas and decided to check into our hotel/casino first, so we could drop off our ever expanding luggage before returning the hire car. Nice and hot but way too many people!! Went and saw Gregory Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre on Friday which was excellent. We all laughed so much our ribs were hurting when we left! The things that guy makes cats do is incredible. It was a great show. Went and saw Cirque de Soleil KA last night and it was incredible.. never seen anything like it and would recommend everyone to go! we were all mesmerised the whole time. very expensive but worth it. no photos :-) cause sick of taking pictures! maybe next time! We ended up having to take a flight from San Francisco. We looked into going to Reno and then driving down to Vegas, but rental companies either didn't do one way rentals to those locations, or they were charging far to much for 1 days rental. The flight was only an hour long. We could see Lake Mead and the strip as we came into land. The airport is right behind the strip. Too close really for comfort. Got up early this morning and pulled out of Crater Lake, OR. It was in the 40’s this morning and foggy again. We headed towards Arches National Park, Utah. The temperatures rose into the 70’s and the top went back down. We stopped in Elko NV and spent the night at the Red Lion Hotel and Casino. We had a wonderful dinner at Misty’s Restaurant and lost a few dollars at the slot machines. We got up in the morning and grabbed a Starbucks coffee and planned on hitting the road. well the boys had a blast in Everson and we never saw them as they hooked up with the local kids and disappeared! Said goodbye to mum and dad and went down to seattle. went over the car ferry to some island which was cool which was where our motel was. it was nice and had a great view over puget sound. pungent sound of a morning cause it stinks!! water is black which is weird and it was freakin cold!! thank god for vegas!! crappy sleazy place but hot! mgm is nice and room is pretty good.. service is mmmmm [View Full Entry]

Etter noen late dager i Santa Barbara hadde vi bestemt oss for å ta turen til Las Vegas. Dette er en biltur på ca 6 timer og den er laaaaaang. Turen går for det meste gjennom ørken, men det er til nå den mest varierte ørkenen vi har sett. Vi hadde forhåndsbestilt hotel på "The Strip" og hadde bestemt oss for Luxor, en pyramide med egyptisk tema. Hotellet var ikke annet enn helt greit, men vi fikk det heldigvis billig.
