Day 66 - Fathers Day

Went for usual walk. Completed log entries etc. and packed for our Las Vegas trip. Left at 11.00 and went to Vasanthi's place. AJ, Nanu, Shanthi, Aunty and Vasanthi were all in the kitchen cooking up special receipes for Father's Day. We had frittatas, freshly baked biscuit and crepes. Then it was gift time. All father's got gifts including R. After lunch Sri went and got a big car for our trip. Left home at 2.40 and was in Vegas by 6.40pm. Checked in at the Bellagio. We got a nice room with a wonderful view of the fountains. R was very hungry so went down and ate at a cafe in Bellagio and then went back to our room to change. Did a tour of the hotel Bellagio and then decided to do a tour of the Paris hotel opposite ours. It was very warm outside. Came back to the room and left our jackets and found a way from within Bellagio to the adjacent Caesar's Palace. By the time we toured Caesar's Palace and the Forum Shops we were tired of walking. Returned to Bellagio. Watched Sri and Shanthi play poker. Sri showed us the chocolate fountain at the Bellagio. Retired to our room just in time to see the last fountain show at 12 midnight.

Fountain Show
It's a 5 min show and is on every 3o mins in the evenings and every 15 mins. in the night up to 12 midnight. Each time the music and display is different In the two days that we were there never saw a similar presentation.

At the Bellagio

Courtyard
One of the courtyards at the Bellagio, next to the lobby, beautifully decorated like a luxuriant garden. It also had a lovely carousel and colourful hot air balloons. It was truly amazing

Frog
The frog closely covered with Kermit Chrysanthemums, Green Coffee Bean plant and Sheet and Reindeer moss. Loved it.

Garden
Another part of the garden creation with a lighthouse and yacht in water. There was a stone bridge on the water too. Was truly amazing

Lady Bird
You can see the lady bird bug created with red carnations in the forefront and the carousel in the background.

The garden at Bellagio
You can see more colorful creations.. hot air balloons, hanging umbrellas, huge flowers and bees. Every few months the whole theme and set up of this place is changed.

Fountain
At night..watching from the road. You can see the semi-circular shaped building of the Bellagio at the back and the crown like dome at the top with Bellagio written on it. Our room was in the left end of the building, above the main lobby.

Caesar's Palace
A girl offered to take a photo of us together here..so here it is!!!

Central fountain where some show is on every half hour. See the artificial sky above.

Forum Shops
With the artificial sky above. Ceasar's Palace is probably the biggest of all the hotels here.

Aquarium
Circular aquarium. See the paintings on the wall behind me. The upper wall area had similar beautiful wall paintings of ancient Greek Gods and people.

Ray
Just managed to capture it as it kept swimming around in circles.

Escalators
Empty sets of escalators.

Empty escalators
Going from the casino floors to the convention center, ballrooms and chapel. Nobody goes there, but it is always kept running.

Caesar
