Welcome to Las Vegas! That’s what the sign says at the beginning of world’s longest brightest and most lively road in the world. I don’t know if it holds that official title but it sure should.
After the world’s quickest debarkation ever - 30 min in total, we had to wait 4hrs for our flight at Long Beach Airport. Whilst I have never been to Mildura’s airport, I am assuming it is potentially the same size and hence extremely boring (and much whinging occurred!)
We finally got onto the plane for the short 1hr flight. I normally wouldn’t bother to discuss the flight but was confronted with an in-flight snack. Probably not out of the ordinary but when you receive BLUE POTATO chips, we found this a little unusual. Of course my curiosity took me to the nutrition panel and the ingredients. To my surprise, there were no preservatives. No shit - there are blue potatoes in America! If you don’t believe me, I have attached the webpage of the company;

Anyway, enough of the plane. I was surprised to see when we were landing the terrain. It was all rocks, mountains and dirt. They weren’t
kidding when they say Las Vegas is in the middle of nowhere… The only trees we could see were the ones planted in the multitude of hotels and casinos.
We stayed at the Bellagio and were confronted with quite possibly the longest check in queues ever seen. I kid you not, there were 15 queues of 15 people and it took over 45 mins to check in. However, as we were potentially one of the only people not to complain about the wait (at least officially to the hotel staff), we were pleasantly upgraded to the deluxe room with the view of the famous Bellagio fountains. It was beautiful!
Soon after we got to our room, we headed for a walk along the strip. It was amazing - flashing neon lights and casinos at every door. We wandered around and looked at the well-known casinos.
The next day we did much of the same, we thought we should go and have a look at the Venetian which was very elaborate. I’m not sure photos do much justice to Las Vegas - the detail is so intricate everywhere. We came back fairly early as I was tired and
just went down stairs for some casino action (spending very little of course!)
So as you can see, we probably didn’t over-exert ourselves in Vegas. We are now off to New York for the next three days. We believe the temperatures will be around 5 degrees - Geez! - somewhat colder than what we have become accustomed to. Til our next installment…
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Forgot to mention, I saw Kendra from Girls of Playboy Mansion. And yes, she has got big boobs!!!
