Sin City

Vegas!!! It didn't seem like we were really there. I mean you see it in movies but it never seems like it's real I guess. Anyway, we stayed in Fitzgerald's which is downtown next to the Fremont Street Experience. It's cheaper than the other hotels, though it's kinda dingy in some ways. The pool and hot tub were allright and they had laundry so I was happy. We were on a higher floor and the tub was huge. So anyway, the Fremont Street Experience was cool. They have a lightshow, shops, and other casinos and things. They have a movie theater too. Johan bought some things.

Then, we went down the Strip. We saw all the hotels. The inside of the Luxor was cool, as well as Excalibur. We went to Mandalay Bay to see Shark Reef. It was allright, but not worth the money they charge to see it. New York New York was a letdown. We did get in free to Coyote Ugly, which was also a letdown. Johan had his first jello shot at Dick's. We went to the Venetian and several others, just walking in and out. The Bellagio Fountains were phenomenal. Caesar's Palace had funny cocktail waitresses. The Flamingo wasn't all that impressive. We skipped Planet Hollywood, the Hilton, and so on if they were off the beaten path. You can reach them by monorail though.

We went to a show called X Burlesque at the flamingo. It's basically an all-girls revue. Johan liked it, though he didn't get into it as much as I thought he would have. I loved the comedian called Pudgy who came out in the middle and heckled the crowd. She was an older, overweight lady. The girls did some serious dancing though. Then, we went to the Thunder From Down Under show. Yeah I know...it was awesome, though I was uncomfortable at times. Poor Johan got made fun of. I..well a man shined my glasses for me. Thank Jesus they didn't pull me onstage because I think I would have died right there. Still, it was fun and cool and I'd like to go again with a whole bunch of girls.

I also ended up buying a timeshare through Wyndham. Ask me about it. It's great for vacations though I feel like it might have been better to wait till I was in a more solid financial situation. Still, I'll handle it. No worries. Next time, I want to see more shows. We missed Mamma Mia!
