My day today:
Lounged by the swimming pool today. Boy, it was hot. It's difficult to be out there for long...even with a wide-brimmed hat!
Met up Trin and Mike today at the mall, we chatted up a bit at Starbucks, gambled, dined at the fabulous Ristorante Italiano at the Riviera (they treated me!), and then we hung out by the pool in the evening.
I went back to my hotel and freshened up. I decided to wear my black dress and red lipstick. I met up with Travis for a bit at the Jester's Lounge, who gave me great ideas and professional resources. Then I took a taxi to bravely check out the nightlife. (Taxis will cost about $14.00-$20.00 one way on average, going either direction on the Strip from one end to the other...traffic can be a mess).
First I went to the Bellagio. Went in, ordered a seltzer and lemon, tipped the bartender, scanned the nightclub, and left. It was no different than New York City clubs. (yawn) I was out of there in under 10 minutes.
The Wynn had a really nice lounge in the center near the entrance. It was different,
A delicious dessertor what's left of it! I had the steak with gorgonzola sauce, which tasted amazing. Ristorante Italiano @ The Riviera
and more what I was looking for. I even gambled there for a while that night. It was kind of annoying that some guys would creepily stare over their slot machines or craps tables at me. I guess it isn't common for a girl to be seen in Las Vegas alone. Whatever! This is the 21st century. When I reached my spending limit for the night, I took a cab safely back to the Excalibur. I was pretty tired way before I went out, especially after such a huge dinner, so I wish I had had more energy to enjoy things. Needless to say, I have had better moments.
