iPod ad at the mallIt kept playing the catchy tune, "Mi Swing Es Tropical", and you can hear it pretty far down the Strip!
I was on the internet at the house most of the day while my buddy was at the gym. I was searching for flights back to New York, as I have several things to tend to at home. I booked one for the same day, at 10:15 p.m. tonight. I was lucky because tonight was the last night I could stay here, and I could have stayed in a hotel again but again, I needed to take care of some business on the east coast.
When she came back, we drove to the Strip and I left my suitcases in her car to pick them up later. I walked around a lot, went to the Adidas store to look for some Stella McCartney sneakers, but I didn't find the style I was looking for. Then I decided I didn't really want them anyway, haha...it was just that my sandals were torturing my feet (but we don't need to see a picture of that). I was still able to enjoy the warm sunshine and picked up some last items at the Monte Carlo (mostly jewelry and postcards), including some food. Did I mention that some hotels hold free gambling classes? They
are worth a look, to say the least ;) It certainly increased my luck at the tables and slots. I am not done here. I resolved to build on my new-found skills for when the casinos come calling again and Lady Luck comes waltzing in...
I picked up my bags from the car and took the shuttle to the airport. Check-in was smooth and easy.
I accomplished quite a lot considering that "the House always wins"...
