Castlewood Park Sign
it's a sign, derrrrr
After a size-a-bowl helping of Lucky Charms and a half cup of coffee this morning we were off to do some training. Mags, Mo and Justin went for a 4 hour road bike session and I hit the trails at Castlewood for a 3 hour mountain bike with a top-o-the-line demo Gary Fisher. It was everything a $3,000 bike should have been! Afterwards we hit up a 60 minute trail run that just about killed me. It's hell trying to keep up with Mags. I mean, she has a full Ironman coming up in two weeks so she's in stellar shape!!!
So here I sit, getting ready for dinner and a couple of celebration beers for completing today's workout. Only 4 weeks until the Castlewood Adventure Race so I need a few more of these workouts to get in the shape I need to be. On one hand it sucks that there isn't a bigger adventure racing base in Lawrence to train with, but on the other hand St. Louis isn't that far away and I don't mind the company out here thanks to my awesome hosts.
I saw 27 snowflakes this morning at the start of the bike......

Castlewood Park Map
