Day Seven- Copper Visits the Vets 😊

Got up and did the normal morning routine today 😊 Fed the dogs, had mon brekkiefast and chillaxed for an hour! As mentioned before Linda has A LOT of trees. Now half of these are situated near the dog kennels so half the leaves blow INTO the dog kennels. Dogs then pee on said leaves and it begins to smell (obviously!). So I spent the good part of 2 1/1 hours raking up leaves while mad huskies kept trying to hug and kiss me! (Klaus LITERALLY hugs you! He jumps up, wraps his front legs around my waist and digs his head in my stomach! all in the attempt to fight for affection) When the leaves were succesfully taken care of I moved onto chore numero two, chucking logs onto the balcony, they running up stairs TO the balcony and stacking them. The first couple of logs where fine then I smelt this GOD awful stench! I looked down and lying right next to my food was a dead looking mouse 😞 BUT i saw its chect cavity rise and fall! IT must be ALIVE! I thought so i nudged it gently over....no...it was very much dead...for loads of gross maggots rolled out of its side and thus the 'moving' mouse lay still once more 😞 GROSS!! SO i picked it up by its tail and lobbed it into a bush. Harsh I know! But the little house dogs WILL try and eat it if they saw it :P

Then at 3:20 on the dot Linda and I put the little dogs (Blueberry and Copper- the 3 legged super poodle!) into their crates in the back of the truck and drove them to a town near Lake Minetonka to see the Vets. Now the Vet we saw is in fact a Top Vet for dog sledders! She helps out every year with the annual Beargrease (http://www.beargrease.com/) race situated here in Minnesota and in the past helped out at the Iditarod ( http://www.iditarod.com/) too. Quick fact, the Iditarod and Yukon races are the Hardest and most challenging sled dog races in the world! They are both over 1000 miles and are in Alaska and yes..they are TOUGH!. So Linda was very pleased to finally find a decent husky vet near her! It turns out Copper has a BAD case of periodontitis

What utterly hideous people would dress their dog as Yoda or Darth Veda?!! Or their bloody cat as HARRY POTTER?!!
which means his teeth are practically falling off! Nawt good at all! So on Tuesday he is going for a dental operation to remove said teeth. Poor little mite 😞 (damn expensive operation!). Oh and down below is a picture of a geniusly named dog wash!!! Anti-icky-poo!! Godang americans are weird sometimes..! We then came home and I made MY FAVOURITE DINNER ever! Sausages and Mash Potatoe 😊 Good times, good times!!
