World's Largest 6-Pack "Over the river and through the corn to Grandma's house we go!" We finally made it to my parents house this afternoon. First though, we stopped at the world's largest 6-pack and fortunately ran into a brewmeister while taking pictures. His information was very interesting. He told us that this was the largest US owned brewery in the states, since Budweiser was recently sold. Our next stop was Lock and Dam #7. We did not get to see any boats/barges go through the lock which was a disappointment. Our final stop of the day was Ed's Museum in Wykoff, MN. This gentleman apparently kept everything he ever received. When he passed on, he willed the entire building to the town of Wykoff. The lady that took us through the museum told us that it took them 2 years to throw away and sort through all of Ed's belongings. This store is full to the gills with his stuff. The desk that he worked at still has all of his old papers, the historical society did not remove/move anything that was in the desk. If you are ever in Southeast MN, check it out, it is definitely worth seeing. - Rhonda

Mark insisted on the Captain Morgan stance even though it's beer we're standing in front of. We are having technical diffictulties uploading Danny's journal entry for today. I forgot to bring the thumb drive with me to the library. I will try to get it uploaded soon.
Today is the last day of
The Journey. We actually left at eight-ish, rather than nine-ish. First we went to the world’s largest six-pack. Not abs, beer. When we got there, it smelled like beer for sure. The cans were huge, I thought they had beer in them, but Dad thought it was just water. I was right though, the cans had beer in them. They had bigger barrels in their storage room, I don’t see why they didn’t use those. After that we went to Lock and Dam No 7. Unfortunately, there were no barges going through when we got there. After the Dam, we went to Ed’s Museum in some little place in Minnesota. When we got there, we saw that it was closed and only open weekends from 1-4. Fortunately for us, I meandered into one of the stores and was talking to the lady. She said she would call one of the volunteers to come and give us a tour. Ed, a guy long

Minnesota side of the Mississippi. dead, had held on to all the things he ever got. It was his house, and after he died, they turned it into a museum. It was really cool; they had stuff from only him. And all of the stuff was everywhere. There was mail, and old food jars, and everything like that. He used to run the store he lived behind, and when he quit selling things in the store, he just used it as storage space. There was the upstairs living space, which was all redone to look like it did when Ed lived there. Ed had one son, and at his funeral, the son came and was going to take three things: his parents’ wedding picture, the player-piano, and his mother’s Sunday dishes. But, because he lives in Washington State, he could only take the wedding picture and the dishes, it took too much to ship the piano. We saw the piano, it was really cool. The lady put the music sheets in the player section, and then began to paddle the piano. The piano played itself, and Dad said that you could even play the piano as a normal piano. Right now, we are on our

Ed's Museum - this is a must see for anyone traveling through Southeastern Minnesota! way to Grandma and Grandpa’s so, I will talk to you later - we’re watching Hairspray, and it’s about to get to the plot climax (that’s the best part).
This is the end of our journey to Minnesota. It was good to see Gramma and Grampa again. The first thing I did when I got out of the car was to run and hug Gramma. I saw them a little while back, but I missed them so bad. We then saw all the cousins - except Tim (he’s in Arizona)—and all the aunts and uncles. Auntie Robin came in from Missouri, and she braided my hair. But I am very extremely super-dee-duper tired. - April
