Heading South from Boston we stopped off in Provincetown a small fishing town in Cape Cod. Benji had given us the choice to either go to the beach for the day or go on the Whale Watching boat trip that alighted in the harbour. I was disappointed because out of the group only myself and one other decided to go. The trip cost $35 that lasts 3-4 hours but I was hesitant to hand over this much money because I knew these animals were not performing moneys in a zoo and viewings are not guaranteed. Unfortunately my trip is coming to an end :( After a 6 day stopover in Germany, I boarded the plane to Boston on March 27. It took me about 2 hours to get past all the immigration and security controls and I was eventually greeted by Chris and Caleb who were so kind to pick me up from the airport. Once I dropped my bags at Chris’s place we went to a couple of bars where I met most of my friends from studying at Bond. I spent most of the next day fighting the jetlag (and the hangover haha). Been in Boston a couple of days now for those who don't know. Think i much prefer it to New York. We are staying in a suburb called Everitt, and it seems really nice, much less hustle and bustle than New York. Even the downtown area is less chaotic, the whole area feels much more like a small english city. Walked the freedom trail yesterday, which is basically a 5 mile walk that, at regular periods, reminds hikers about how the English got there arses handed to them when the rebels rebelled. Well, I arrived in Boston last night (or rather, early this morning) at 12:30 AM, only to find that American Airlines again left my luggage at Miami Airport, which, I've decided, is a terrible transfer place! They've found it, though, and it should be delivered sometime this evening. Took a taxi to Jane and Don's, where poor, sleepy, Jane let me in. (By this time it was way after 1 am). Well Boston seems really... nice. Nice just seems like the right word 2 describe Boston. Where as New York was overwhelming and hectic (in a good way). Boston just seems 2 roll at a much leisurely pace. We got up this morning and went 2 a place near by to get breakfast... an all american freakin breakfast!! Its been more than 6 months in the new spot here in Boston. Overall a refreshing experience, with new discoveries abound. Loving the scene up here, missing you all, so hopefully this is a decent way to send a mass-email with photos. Right now in the middle of a hellstorm of schoolwork, so this blog serves as part procrastination and part catharsis. Doing a 1-year Masters degree in School Counseling, the program challenges me to see things through new lenses and has me aspiring to be an academic McGyver.
