Yesterday was so so exciting because for the very first time in my life i saw snow! It was amazing, i was sleeping in my corner (yes. i sleep in a corner. I was going to have almost the whole of downstairs to myself but the heating down there doesn't work so it's cold, dark, depressing and anti social. Ok, well it seems posting on this blog must be good luck because today my passport came!! Unfortunately, I have to sign for it and it won't be available for pick up till tomorrow morning, which means Jenn gets to get up even earlier! *sigh* Oh well, who cares! So I heard from the homestay co-ordinater today and she says she has someone for me to stay with for most or all of my time in Gifu! All I can say is Baruch Hashem (Thank G-d) b/c otherwise I would have barely been able to survive! Now I can do a bit of travelling! Yay..Tokyo here I come! If I have the time and resources I also want to go to Okinawa, Kyoto and Osaka. But first I have to get my visa and passport settled! It's april fourth and i've been in boston for 5 days now and having so much fun! Ok so I got an internship in Japan this summer working for an intellectual property firm there. I'm so excited and yet everything still feels like it hasn't fallen into place yet. I still need to find out if I'm living with a host family or staying in company housing, still in the process of applying for my visa, and still waiting for my passport to arrive (which it better since I spent $100 extra to pay for the expidited shipping!!!) Ok, so as we all know- i'm not exactly the sharpest marble in the jar when it comes to technological shtuff, but hopefully this'll work out! So, after going to florence last summer i've decided that for my last real school vacation i wanted to go back to europe! So, i'm heading to Corfu, Greece! For our last day in Boston we visited Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox..Tomorrow we get a coach from Boston chinatown to NYC china town. We've done so much here in Boston, been to the museum of Fine Arts and Science and last nite we went to the top of the prudential centre and got a great view of the city in the evening..We've spent hours wandering around and have got a real feel for the city and are so excited about exploring New York....
