Well it is here! After a few errands in the morning, we were talking to the minister and the caterer, things were moving fast. People arriving and the ceremony was about to begin. The grandkids/grand-niece/grand-nephews all played a wonderful part in our wedding. It was such fun to see Maddie drop the rose petals, and Ian and Nate blowing bubbles, then Maddie and Helm bringingt up the rings. They did a great job! What fun! Adrian, Jean, Jim and Heather all participating to make this day one we will remember forever. We wrote our own vows and this was a special moment for both of us. Two old folks making a commitment for a new life, filled with love, curiosity and new adventures.
The wedding cake had two bikers, one with a veil. Cape Cod was a wonderful setting and the weather did give us a break from time to time. Did I mention Jim’s good idea about a tent? Yes, we had more rain on and off, but my mother used to say, “Rain on your wedding day is good luck”.
We finally relaxed and enjoyed the
afternoon with dear family and friends. Some of the kids even got to go into the pool. It was wonderful to have Bob’s kids and grandkids and my brothers and their families and special friends here to celebrate our new life together. Thank you all for your efforts!
